ABOUT PROGRAM

Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency is implementing the Broadband for Development (BfD) program.

The main objective of the BfD program is to increase the use of broadband internet services and advanced information technology by eligible HHs and eligible MSMEs, with a focus on rural areas, inter alia, by providing the BfD subsidies and related training.

The objective of the BfD Program is to assist about 1,500 eligible Housholds (HH)  to be connected to broadband Internet services.

Regional HHs engaged in the BfD program can have training in Digital Literacy, 

Regional MSMEs engaged in the BfD program can have training in E-Literacy (including e-business, e-commerce, e-governance) and get personal assistance to develop their e-commerce capabilities and develop their business.

One HH or one MSME shall only benefit once from the BfD Program.

Program criteria for HH

  • To reside in the mountainous region of Georgia;
  • To be registered in the database of the Social Service Agency (SSA) and have SSA Score 100,000 or less; 
  • Broadband Connection has to be available at his/her address.

    From 2020 its is mandatory to pay the first-month subscription fee to use the broadband voucher!

Training in E-literacy

Program criteria for MSME

  • To operate in one of the regions of Georgia;
  • To be registered into the database of the Revenue Service (RS) and to have the active status;

From 2020 MSMEs could only benefit from the e-literacy training program!
